Invitation to the Party

(Запрошення на вечірку)

Task 1.

a) Listen to the invitations, then read and translate them. (Прослухай запрошення, потім прочитай та переклади їх).

b) Find the following words in the invitations and highlight them with your highlighter. Try to remember them. (Знайди наступні слова в запрошеннях та виділи їх маркером. Спробуй запам’ятати їх). 

New vocabulary:

invitation [ˌɪnvɪˈteɪʃən] – запрошення
ask [ɑːsk] – просити
bring [brɪŋ] – приносити
running shoes [ˈrʌnɪŋ ʃuːz] – взуття для бігу
Road [rəʊd] – шосе
See you there! [siː] [juː] [ðeə]! – Побачимось там
date [deɪt] – дата
place [pleɪs] – місце

с) Read again and find what information is missing in every invitation. (Прочитай ще раз та дізнайся якої інформації не вистачає в кожному запрошенні).

The party is in Tim’s garden.

Invitation B

1. What day is Tara’s party on?
2. What can Oliver bring to Tara’s party?
3. What time is Tara’s party?
4. What can children do at Tara’s patry?

Invitation C

1. What can Linda bring to Emma’s party?

2. Who can come to Emma’s party?

3. Who wants to play football with Linda’s brother?

4. Where is Emma’s party?

5. What time is Emma’s party?

Task 4. WB: Exercise 1, page 77. Read and write the words.

Task 5. Make two lists (Напиши 2 списки):

1. A list of food to eat at the party. (Список їжі, яку можна з’їсти на вечірці).

2. A list of games to play at the party. (Список ігор, в які можна погратись на вечірці).

Task 6. Write an invitation to your party. (Напиши запрошення на свою вечірку).

Use the example from Exercise 1, page 76.

Remember to write: where it is.

                                 what day it is.

                                 what time it is.

Before you write your invitation, make notes: (Перед тим, як приступити до написання запрошення, зроби нотатки).
